I write to you as Chair of Green Burial Nova Scotia, for the second time to inform you that we DO have green burial in the Maritime Provinces (known as the Atlantic provinces if you include Newfoundland). The Sunrise cemetery has had a green burial section for 2 years now. Please update your listing. With Gratitude, Dawn

great article, rounding out all the options. Green Burial Council (GBC) keeps adding new cemeteries every month. Natural Path Sanctuary in Verona, Wisconsin and Prudence Memorial Park in Prudence Island, Rhode Island, are two most recently certified as natural burial grounds.

also for a more cohesive list of available natural burial grounds (including non-GBC certified):
https://www.nhfuneral.org/green-burial-cemeteries-in-the-us-and-canada.html
This list consists of cemeteries and burial grounds that have been reported to provide natural burial options, including conservation preserves, natural burial grounds, hybrid cemeteries that allow some space for burial without a vault, and even a handful of known municipal cemeteries that simply do not require vaults that do not intentionally identify themselves as green. Please note that many municipal hybrid cemeteries only serve residents of their town.

also the link to the GBC website in the article is a dead link.
thanks
